Biometrics - FBI unable to process your fingerprint card

Hi all,

Just received a I-797C form stating that the FBI were unable to process your fingerprint card so another biometric appointment is necessary for one of my children.

Any clue how this can happen? The fingerprints are checked while being taken. I seem to remember the computer giving each finger and thumb a green tick mark on the screen at the end of the process?

Guess anxious to understand if this can keep happening as no doubt it will delay the scheduling of the interview if the petitions are linked.

Tks
