Obtaining a visa is a beaurocratic process. My advice: breathe, pass through the hoops, take advice when it's useful, ignore it when it's not.

Thank you for your kindness. I came to this forum for some comfort and guidance amongst people who I thought had gone through the same thing. I wish I had never signed up as I now feel more lost and anxious about the situation after being pretty well attacked in here.
