Pending K1 Visa and Global Entry

Hello all!

I have a question regarding the application of Global Entry, My partner filed our petition on the 16th Jan and I’m wondering if I would be eligible to apply for Global Entry whilst I have a pending K1 approval.

Has anyone used the Enrollement on arrival whilst having a pending K1?

Is it best to not apply until after I have my visa. I wasn’t sure if doing this would help me on subsequent visits to the US whilst we wait it out.

Im just so full of anxiety over visiting and being turned away and passing the medical  and then the interview as well. It’s just so overwhelming and I can’t think much about anything else. The end will justify the means but it’s just so exhausting, added on top of missing my partner :(

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks, Kurt

Global Entry requirements seem straightforward. You make the application, they run your background check and you will have a face to face interview. The answer will be either YES or NO. Simple. I saw nothing that states that if you have a visa in the works that you cannot receive the Global entry card.

This whole process is driven by you. If you make it harder on yourself by second-guessing every move you make or that you want to make you only increase your anxiety and that causes bad decisions.

I'd recommend that you make the application and control what you can control and let the rest be up to the authorities. Most of what you experience is normal. When you get to the end of the road in this process you are going to look back and wonder why you put so much stress on yourself. All the best to your journey.

K-1 visa doesn't have an effect on global entry. I just renewed my global entry last month (and my I-129F packet was accepted in November) and had no issues at all during the process or CBP interview.

Thank you! This really helps. I just received the access code for the UK so will go about applying next week I reckon and try to enroll on arrival when I visit in June :)

Thank you! This means a lot! I will go ahead and apply next week. I’m visiting next month and will document myself well and hope for the best. My mum is coming with me for a two week break so she can meet my fiancé’s family and visit Disneyland and universal studios. Hopefully having my mum in tow will make it look like I will return home a little easier ha!
