Timing of I-751

Hello Friends:

I am in a little bit of a pickle. My two year conditional permit expires on the 29th January. Due to various personal reasons (Nothing that would be considered by USCIS) I was not timely to finish my forms and get the packet ready. I will only be able to send the packet at the earliest by 21st to them. This is a week before my deadline. Does the receipt of my documents before my deadline keep me in good standing or have I delayed it too much?

If it arrives before the expiration then it is timely filed.

You just won't have any evidence of it until they process it...which usually takes weeks.

Just make sure you do not leave the United States  or quit your current employment, as without the notice of action, it looks like you’re out of status. I would also send in the petition with a tracked method, to ensure quicker delivery and you have evidence of it being sent in.
