Question on Traveling with Passport and I551 Stamp

Hello All,

So I will get a I551 stamp on my Canadian passport early  next week due to recently passing the I485 interview . My question is I travel to Canada end of next week. I purchased the airline ticket as last name "ABC" (my maiden name before marriage). My Canadian passport has my last name as "ABC". My name on the Greencard (when it arrives) will be "XYZ" (my married named changed after getting married).

Will I have a problem reentering back to America after my trip in Canada where I will only have my I551 stamp and Canadian passport (GC is still in production and won't get before I travel). I do plan to take my marriage certificate with me when I travel to show proof that my last name changed from "ABC" to "XYZ".

Any advice would be greatly helpful. Thanks!

According to our local USCIS office, they don't provide stamps anymore - unless it's an emergency. We tried to get a stamp in my wife's Vietnamese passport before heading overseas. They said to use the I-751 paper (my wife was still waiting for GC). She traveled throughout Asia on her VN passport and returned to U.S. with the I-751 letter. No problem. Either way, the stamp and the letter are the same. Let us know if you actually get a stamp. Except for emergencies, nobody here is getting stamps.
