Thanks so much guys! Still a bit nervous but am 99% sure I have everything needed. We'll be staying in a hotel near Hyde Park, about a mile and a half from the Embassy, so will have a little walk/taxi ride on the way there to calm the nerves. Will definately let you know how it goes!

HA - we're staying at the Corus Hotel Hyde Park, although it's a bit further from the Embassy than I would have liked, it does have fairly reasonable prices and we decided to go for a "Deluxe" room with Air Conditioning (which is a BIG plus for my wife and I!). I'll prob just book a taxi from there for some time like 7:30am, just to make sure we get there super early. (According to a routefinder, it'll take 7 mins driving, so throw in a bit of time for traffic etc, and we'll aim to get there around an hour and a half before the interview time).

We stayed at a place called the Royal Eagle near Paddington. It was OK, not great, but the price was right. We took a taxi to the embassy to avoid any confusion since neither of us knows London very well. Bring small bills/change in UK money; the air conditioning didn't work very well at the embassy the day we were there so we slurped sodas from the stand in the waiting room. Bring a newspaper too!!!
