Hi everyone! so with the recent polio outbreak in the Philippines, the Bureau of Quarantine released an advisory about people who are leaving the country requiring an IPV booster shot and an  International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis.I am already done with the medical exam at St Luke's Extension Clinic, done with the interview at the US embassy and already received my K1 visa.  I have been wondering if this applies to me, because after checking the immunization record that i got from SLEC, it lists polio as not given, not age appropriate. should i still get the IPV and certificate from the BOQ? i do still have my baby book and yes i did get all 3 OPV doses (documented as given in health center) + 1 vaguely recorded booster (doctor/nurse just signed it with no printed name and/or license no.). I've contacted SLEC immunization unit and they did say CDC does not require them to give IPV to US applicants. just worried about running into problems since it will be my first time travelling overseas. any thoughts / advice is greatly appreciated. thanks!

Look at your DS3025 you got from SLEC look down in the bottom left corner if it says you completed your vaccination requirements you are GOOD TO GO. Don't  worry about anything else.

It's not a  requirement for immigration.   You can get for personal reasons if you want.

YMMV

You completed your medical at SLEC, you have your visa in your passport, you will be fine.  You will not run into any problems at POE.

During the medical not all vaccinations are administered, some are age related others if there are indicators you had the disease (chicken pox as an example) as a child you won't receive those vaccinations either.

Relax.

Did you get your CFO sticker?

thank you so much for all the quick response.  really helps  take the load off significantly especially since none of friends and family have any experience in any of these
