7/3/19 -  my husband and I filed I-485, I-130, I-765, and I-131 all concurrently to the Chicago address. All evidence , medical exam , and fees were sent as well.

7/29 - Received Biometrics Appt.

8/20-  Biometrics appointment

9/25 - Case is ready to be scheduled for interview

9/26 - Case was scheduled for interview at Pittsburgh Office

11/6 - I-485 AOS interview was that morning. We arrived 30 mins before appointment . We were called back separately (husband first ) approximately 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. They questioned my husband about my family , if he had kids , was he in a gang , ever been arrested , what we did for Halloween , what we are on Halloween , etc...... They kept him in there questioning him for Atleast 45 mins. The IO calls me back after he is finished questioning my husband. I was sworn in , and told I was being recorded , and was asked the same questions as my husband. This went on for about 15 minutes. After the interview , the IO asked me what I brought with me. He kept the pictures , lease , and the copy of an insurance policy and told me we would receive the decision in the mail. I was kind of bummed we didn’t get approved on the spot, but me and my husband both did well in the interview.

11/9 - App is updated to show I-130 approved.

11/12 - Receive official I-130 approval in the mail.

11/27 - I checked the app today and it is showing I-765 approved and card is being produced.

Does each form have to be approved before the greencard can be approved ? I figured they would approve the greencard and not bother with approving the other forms. Has anyone else had this experience before ? I hate waiting , it’s hell. LOL..... We love each other very much and want to start our life together and be able to travel and do him start working. Any input would be appreciated.
