Hello everyone, I recently booked my interview appointment at the US embassy in Lagos Nigeria on 16th October hoping to get an earlier date before my approved I-129f becomes invalid which is going to be December 5th, unfortunately, the earliest date I got happened to be December 18th which means my approved case would have become invalid by then.

i wrote the embassy requesting for an expedite date or a validity extension and here is their reply...

“We advise you should attend your interview appointment as scheduled. During your interview, you should present documents/evidence to the Consular officer to show that you qualify and justify why the petition should be extended. In order to qualify for a K-1 visa, the beneficiary/applicant must convince the Consular officer that he or she has a bona fide spousal relationship with the petitioner. The decision to extend the validity of the petition will be at the discretion of the interviewing officer. However, if you are unprepared for this interview it is not likely the petition will be extended.”

Though, all my documents are ready as am fully ready to be interviewed.

please advice especially those who encountered the same issue

I requested an expedite through nvc and I was told it will be forwarded to the required embassy which is Lagos. But I haven't gotten any reply yet, I don't know if I should send an expedite request directly to the embassy?? How did you expedite although I'm in cr1 visa
