Am I worried too much?

I need your opinion because I have been worried and I know some of you may laugh at me. I submitted the renewal for my EAD in May just in case I don't get my green card before it expires in Nov. I got my green card in September and early October I got a letter for biometrics and I went for it. When I got to ASC center, they told me that I don't need it since I got my green card but they went ahead and captured my fingerprints. Now, I am worried that if I have done something that I am not supposed to do? Will it do any negative affect to my green card? Really hope to hear your thoughts.

Thank you.

You have nothing to worry about. You have a greencard you don't need ead. They went ahead and did biometrics because you already paid for it, same thing happened to someone I know but nothing bad happened.

Thank you for letting me know and it's a relief to hear that. I have been so worried that I have done something wrong and it may mess up my green card.
