NOA1 email with IOE received twice

Hi everyone

 

My husband just filled the I130 petition for me and my son (his stepson) two weeks ago.

He received the email (he filled out an e-notification form) “USCIS Acceptance Confirmation” within a week, but the strange thing is, that he got two identical emails per case. 

 

We’ve gotten an IOE case number and are supposedly been routed to Nebraska Service Center (according to the email).
 

Did anyone else of you receive two identical emails per case (sent approx. 3 minutes appart from each other)?

Yes. My husband received 6 in total, one is the NOA1 and the other is the NOA1 plus info on creating a uscis account (he applied for myself and my 2 daughters)

That’s what my husband was looking for first after going through various online forums. But the two emails are exactly the same - no additional information about creating an account. 
 

He’ll probably have to call USCIS to ask for further information about creating the account.

I know he only got texts originally, no emails, and it wasn’t until he received the 6 letters in the mail that we got the info for the online account. How long since you got the emails? Maybe in the next few days you’ll get the hard copies and will get the account info

Oh ok, that might be it then. We have the email since 1 week as of today. But we live abroad, so it might actually take the full 10 days (according to email 7-10 days) until we receive the hard copies 🙂

We did a petition for me and an additional petition for my son - we also received 2 identical emails, only difference was the receipt notice number, the last digit differed. You'll also have 2 different alien registration numbers (you and your child), but the medicals and embassy interview should happen at the same time.

Thank you for your reply RudelCraig. We happened to have the hard copies of NOA1 in our mailbox tonight 🙂

Yay, we got the hard copies of NOA1 including the instructions for the online login tonight 😃
