Hi Friends, wishing everyone the best on their process with uniting with there loved ones. I have a question regarding documents to has to be provided at the day of interview. I apologize if anyone has already asked for help about this! I couldn’t find the answer anywhere so I came here for help:(

My child  is sponsoring me and currently  lives in US. She has her original birth certificate and I only have a scanned copy that I printed out. My question is- Can I provide a photocopy of her birth certificate? Or does she need to post certified copies of her birth certificate, passport or anything else? Please help if anyone knows? Much appreciated!

The petitioner's birth certificate should not needed at the interview. It's all about you and your civil documents, which need to be originals (or certified as originals). The only thing from her is her affidavit of support.

I have been through the entire entire process to being a citizen and nobody has ever seen an original of my petition/fiancé/wife's birth certificate.
