What happened in reoath ? Can u tell pls

We were given visa validity upto 21st January because my fathers passport was about to expire on April. So due to law you should travel before 2 months of your passport expiry. So the translator told us that take your fathers passport and update it, once done you will have extended visa validity date upto 6th of april 2020. So we did this back in December 20, 2019. We sent the passport through acceptable courier service. Upto now I receied an email that embassies are closed due to Trumps Travel ban. So, some days before I saw news Which stated that travel ban has now extended upto 31 March 2021.

F4 case.

Our case is in AP since Nov 2019.  By the time we submitted the docs, it was April 2020 there was a visa ban

We were asked in Dec 2020 to resubmit DS-260 on Ceac.    Also an inquiry was submitted for the case to which we got the following reply

"Our records mention that your submitted documents were reviewed and accepted by the consular officer for further processing of the case."

I am still not clear why we were asked to resubmit DS260?  Has anyone  had similar experience?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Greetings!

The thing is that when a total of 1 year is passed, then you have to resubmit DS260 for further visa processing. In Sha Allah everything will be fine now because the Ban has been lifted. :) now there is a lot of backlog, a total of 280k cases are pending so you have to wait.
