“Interview completed and case must be reviewed”

Had my interview this week in NYC. Went very well but the IO said some of the info had to be reviewed by her supervisor because certain things had changed so much (not for the worse) since filing 18+ months ago.

 

Now the case status is “in review”? Anybody have experience with this/a realistic timeline? I am particularly nervous because my EAD renewal has been pending since January and it’s auto-extension ends next month....

It happens quite a bit and there is no way to know how long it will take. It could be a few days or even more than a year. You are better off trying to expedite you EAD extension now while you wait for your green card to be approved.

Not to scare u or what, but i think NYC takes for ever . I know of someone whose did interview about 1yr ago and her case was on review for that long . When she called they scheduled another interview for her.. but i hope u get approved

Any idea what they ending up needing to “review” in her file?
