Hi have a few questions about the next steps in the k-1 process.

 

we received our NOA2 on July 13th.

I called the NVC and was given my case number on August 11th.

I haven’t received anything else.

 

so I am wondering what I can and should start doing. When can I make an interview date. And when send I submit the ds-160 ? 

 

When do i I use the case number. 

 

basically could use some direction as to what to do.

Way to go, you made it through the NVC! Complete the DS-160 (or have your fiancé do it) if you haven't already. Have your fiancé make sure he/she has the birth certificate, the singleness certificate, and about 1 dozen passport sized pics (needed for the medical). He/she will also eventually need a police certificate and the medical done by a embassy-approved civil surgeon. Wait to do those last as the police certificate has a 6 month expiration. After the DS-160 is completed you are able to pay the visa fee. I paid via credit card.

 

Nowadays it seems the embassy is choosing the interview date instead of letting you pick a day. I know someone else who is basically waiting for the embassy to let them know when the interview will be.

 

Do you plan on being there for the interview?

you can also email the embassy for a copy of the "packet 4" which will give you a good idea of what they are looking for. it will take a few days for them to get it to you
