Administrative Processing Without 221g

Hello!

 

My fiancee had his interview on August 28th and was approved at the interview. They took his passport and immediately after the interview, his status was changed to "Application Received" on CEAC. As of today, it has been changed to Administrative Processing, and we have not been contacted to provide any additional documentation. Has anyone else gone through this? I've done some digging and it seems fairly normal.

Is it in the "Immigrant Visa" section on CEAC, or the "Nonimmigrant Visa" section on CEAC?

If it's in the "Nonimmigrant Visa" section, and your status recently went from "Application Received" to "Administration Processing", then congratulations. You're almost at "Issued"!

 

If it's still in the "Immigrant Visa" section and your status recently went from "Application Received" to "Administration Processing", then you've probably still got more days of waiting. Don't worry though, it will come eventually.
