IRS use to have a form for calculating whether you need to pay tax or not, last time I looked it was a online computation.   Maybe you could print out the result page and attach it to a letter were you explain your income it below required amounts.    https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/do-i-need-to-file-a-tax-return

Which brings up the question;  How are you going to show financial support evidence to meet the I-864P poverty guidelines ?

my aunt will be Co sponsoring us. And I have tax transcripts from 2015-2017 just not 2018 because i dont have anything to file.

another question: As I was going through the list, I noticed that my husband’s last name on the paper is wrong. NVC put completely different surname. My husband’s last name is not Al Sila. Im not sure where they got it from. i checked all the documents I submitted to them. How can I get this fix?

Not what I asked.

If I go by the letter you posted earlier your case file is at NVC still .. or are you at Case Complete?    You can't contact the embassy regarding the name typo until the case file is at the embassy.

When you complete the DS-260 you will have the correct name again (that is the visa application for the embassy)

Ah I see. I didn’t understand the question. I think my case is at NVC still. I submitted the DS-260 thats the one you have to fill up online right? I put the correct name and everything but they havent reviewed it because i still have to submit I-860 before they will review it, right?

With your case file still at NVC you should contact them regarding the name typo .. at this point the embassy has nothing to do with your case file

Yes the DS-260 is an online form.    With the I-864 you will include all your financial support evidence.   Not sure of when NVC reviews documents, many times it appears they let documents just sit as you add more and more, no logic to it at times.  It's the government after all ..

When calling if you get the machine and it hangs up means all the lines are busy .. call back

If you have already sent those documents then don't send them again unless NVC instructs you to.
