My current EAD is expiring on the 15 of Jan, 2020, so last month, I filed for the renewal. I received the new card in the mail after roughly 4 weeks.

I also have the interview scheduled for September 05th. Thought they would postpone my request for renewal of the EAD due to the scheduled interview but apparently it has nothing to do with EAD renewal.

So I recommend filing for renewal as soon as the 180 days mark hits. Don't wait on anything. it doesn't cost anything except for the delivery service.

That's great. I applied for renewal and it took 9 months! I just got it in July after applying for renewal in October 2018.
