Temporary or permanent position beginning on very little notice?

Hello all,

I've received two job offers that both are beginning less than 3 months from now. I'm still not sure which one I will officially accept, but I am hoping to file for a DCF under emergency circumstances (invoking the "U.S. petitioner, living and working abroad, receives a job relocation within the same company or subsidiary to the United States, or an offer of a new job in the United States with very little notice." clause). My work (the reason my wife and I are living abroad) is ending in 2 months and my wife is 3 months pregnant with our first child. So our situation is stressful.

Of the two positions i've been offered, one is permanent and the other is temporary (although I have verbal confirmation that the position will be renewed annually). If I accept the temporary position, and use this for the DCF, will this be an issue? Does anyone have any experience filing for a DCF with a temporary position beginning on very little notice?

They are both civil servant positions with a state government, and I have formal offers for both with all the relevant details included (name, start date, salary, signature by HR and supervisor, etc.).

Thanks so much.

My opinion is the permanent job offer would be a better selection to submit with the request to DCF under exceptional circumstances.
