Hi everyone - Im hoping for some clarity. I looked up our Case Status on the USCIS website yesterday (August 16th), and instead of the usual "We have received your case" text, we have a Name was Updated: On August 15, 2019 we updated your name for your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e). We haven't done anything since we sent the application three months ago.

I tried to look up the case status today and now it's just blank. Like it only has the ----MY----- header and nothing else.

If anyone knows whats happening or has dealt with this in the past, I would love to hear you out. Cant help but freak out over here! Thank you all.

Mine says the same and has had that status since June.

I've read other threads where they mentioned it probably refers to a middle name. Since NOA1 doesn't have our middle name, they add it to their system thus the status change.

Looks like a while ago, getting the 'name was updated' message meant someone was about to be approved, but that wasn't the case with us.

As I said, my case has had that same status for 2 months already.

Service Center: Texas Service Center SRC
