Need your help understanding this: US citizenship and Kids

I am trying to understand following situation but I am not sure if I am getting this right:

 

1. I am a LPR, my husband is the US Citizen. We are on military orders overseas.

2. My kids (previous marriage and between 8-12) live with us, are on his orders but no LPRs yet (because it wasn't necessary with their passport but we'll need it for the next duty station)

 

I am soon applying for citizenship while my kids will still be waiting for their GC. From what I know, the kids would get the US citizenship IF they are LPRs by that time. What happens if I am getting my citizenship (hypothetical) while they are still waiting for their approval of the GC. Would they have the regular course of "apply after x years"? Or would they get the GC and then citizenship afterwards? Or would we have to apply unter expedite §319 (?)?

 

I hope you guys can shed some light into this all because I seem to have lost oversight.

After you become a US citizen, wait until they become Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR). If when they become LPR they are under 18 and residing in the US under your legal and physical custody, then they can apply for US passports by following the instructions in the link above.
