Place of birth discrepancy on passport

Received NOA2 and my fiancee and I are preparing documents for the next step. She noticed that her passport lists a different birthplace than her birth certificate. Does she need to get this corrected? Her passport has stamps from trips we took together. She is from Vietnam. I would hate to have some sort of delay because of this. Thanks in advance.

"She noticed"?  Her passport would only have information provided by her.

Not necessarily - data entry is done by humans and I've seen plenty of typos and errors.

Should not be too hard to have it corrected.
