For some reason when a case changes from immigrant to nonimmigrant on the status page it causes the update page to process very slowly and often won't even give an update and just stops processing after entering in the case number and code. I saw this happen a month ago with my fiance's friend's k1 and now that my fiance's case has changed to nonimmigrant its doing the same thing for her case.

Today I asked my fiance's friend to try the status page using my fiance's number and she too had it "time out" on her. The friend lives over 1000 miles from me to see if its an internet issue on my end.

I called the embassy and let them know about the issue and they said they would pass the info onto someone else but they were not able to check the status for me. The CSR said she had no way to do the status search for me.

So does anyone have any suggestions on a workaround for me to get it to show me the status? We are hoping it has changed to issued since she was put into nonimmigrant.

It's a worldwide problem.   Use the DS160 code on the nonimmigrant tracker, should be much faster

YMMV
