Import Car - TPMS

Apparently my car does not comply with the US regulations. I need to have a TPMS installed (Tire Pressure Monitoring System).

Anyone done this? Are there specific TPMS they require or can it be any TPMS system? Seen some on Amazon/AutoZone that don't seem too expensive or require excessive installation. But not sure if these will pass.
