I really don't know enough about him to decide one way or another. I want a strong conservative president, but at the same time I want one that will listen to the advice of others and not go off half cocked. Yeah, I am talking about Bush. I agree it is time for a change. This immigration sh!t finally shot it with me and Bush.
Immigration, the NAU, and the mess he's made of Iraq did it for me with Bush. I'll give Thompson a look; there's no way I'm voting for a Dem.
NAU, if implemented using majority nation as basis for laws/etc, could (ironically) make it easier to find conservative candidates for presidency--as many of the current Canadian MP's (hey, the vast bulk of them were born in Canada which would now be part of NAU; "my", Calgary-Nosehill, MP was born in Peoria which last-I-checked is IN US). That's kind of narrow-minded, isn't it? I usually vote Democrat but I'm at least considering what the Republicans have to say.

I disagree about McCain; he's definitely more of a social conservative than Giuliani is, and I supported the campaign finance reform and I don't see how his support of it makes him a liberal. I also do not see how his support of the immigration bill makes him a liberal; many Republicans support it and many Democrats object to it; both parties are split.

You can't give Giuliani too much credit for NYC's reversal of fortunes. Sure, he did a lot of good but he gets credit for slashing the city's crime rate due to his zero-tolerance policies when the rate of reduction decreased after he took office; crime was falling faster BEFORE he became mayor.

Well, that shows the difference between the two different political camps. The part of the CFR bill I really didn't like is the prohibition of advertising 30 days before an election and the restrictions of private citizens to donate to the candidate of his/her choice. That to me is an infringement of free speech. The republicans that support this insane immigration bill are just RINO's. If Kennedy wrote it then by definition its a liberal bill. Those Reps that supported it will pay the price with conservatives with the next election.

My TV is HD and my worldview is also very clear, thank you very much.
HA is like a younger, white, somewhat-less confused version of my sister.

I say she's somewhat less confused as she is at least seeking to go back to her native state which she loves, unlike my sister who has lived in SoCA for the past 22 years and complains regularly (in both emails and phone) about it.

LOL...whatever makes you feel better, Gary. The world is far more nuanced than you might think, but just look at it this way: I have about 10 relatives in Illinois who are solid New Dealer Democrats. Only takes one of 'em to cancel out your vote, bub.

You have my condolences. And I prefer to think of it as canceling out one of their votes. Besides, Luz and Robin are going for naturalization and they are both conservative so I will be canceling out 3 of your misguided relatives.
