Hi Everyone,

 

I am working on the Advanced Parole application for my wife.  She came here on a K-1 visa.  I'm a little unsure about the instructions at the beginning of Part 7 on the I-131.  It says to explain how the applicant qualifies for advanced parole and what circumstances warrant this. It asks to attach the explanation on a separate sheet of paper with any supporting documents.  Basically, my wife and her son just want to visit her family sometime next year since her family cannot visit the US. Is this all I should say? What documents might support her request?

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you.

~Moved to Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports as the OP is asking about I-131~

 

Generally you don't need to put any dates or travel plans. Most people don't ever intend to use it but since it's free to apply for with the I-485, it's nice to have in case.

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview
