Good morning! Just want your thoughts, my dad passed his medical and will have interview in 10 days but my mom will go to sputum exam, is it better to postpone the interview for my dad so they will go together?  Is that true the expiration of medical is 6 months and that time he suppose to be in US and worst case if my mom will get postive culture so she will undergo tx for 6-12 month, its really stressing me since they leave in province.

You can cancel your Dad's interview and reschedule once your Mom is ready. Expirations for interview is 6 months for the medical. One year for AOS once arrival in states. Relax. Nothing to worry about. If they do find something in your Mom like TB it's curable and you just saved your mothers life. That's a real positive!!

The visa is valid for a maximum 6 months from the original date of the medical.   And yes your dad would have to be in the USA before the expiration date noted on the visa.

SPUTUM is 60 days    and if the culture is positive  it will be another 6 months after that for DOT (Direct Observation Therapy)   at SLEC  which is daily medication M-F for the 6 months.

Cancel your dad's interview.   I don't know that I would.  Even with waiting for SPUTUM with your mom, your dad's visa validity will be just fine.   As long as the culture is negative at the end of the 60 days they will  still be fine to travel together.   This is totally your decision.

If you decide to cancel you call the Embassy ... use the numbers below

Scheduling the Interview:
By Calling (632) 548-8223, (632) 792-8988.
This service is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers may speak with an English-, Tagalog-, Ilocano-, or Cebuano-speaking operator.
Applicants, agents or petitioners calling from the United States may also use this service by calling (703) 520-2235.

I have to disagree with keeping dads appointment. You present to many if's which only leads to failure.  She isn't penalized if she waits for mom and they do it together.  Of course as you pointed out if mom passes sputum then no worries. If we know that OP prefers that mom and dad interview together or process together our shared advise will work. 😁

Yeah thats true. What if my mom has positive sputum culture(hope not) i want to be on safe side, bec slec said my dad need to go here within 6 month so thats the validity of medical for interview? Or validity until they will arrive here?

I present no IFs ....  the dad's visa will be valid for the same date whether he interviews now or later ... nothing changes ... rescheduling is where the IFs are located .... IF mom is negative after SPUTUM, IF they can get TWO dates during the same time frame   (this is not a K-1 & K2 where they interview together).       IF mom's culture is positive and they cancel dad's interview, they will need to reschedule immediately again as mom will not be going anywhere for 6 months ... and dad's visa eligibility will have expired by that time.     Too many IFs with rescheduling

There is zero benefit to cancelling your dad's interview.  The validity date of his visa will not change as it is tied to the date of his medical, maximum of 6 months.

Your mom completes SPUTUM with a negative, she attends her interview ... mom & dad travel together .. no issue and no IFs  in relation to rescheduling.   SPUTUM is positive, mom has 6 months of DOT, dad still has to enter the USA by the same date ... which is tied to HIS medical.       Rescheduling is adding undo stress ... with no extra benefit.
