Hey guys,

So went to the AOS interview on 3/15. Went well. Not told anything was needed but given letter that USCIS cannot yet make decision on your case. Later that day, case status updated "RFE for additional is requested." Day 13, and still no letter in the mail. Went to info pass today. USCIS secretary looked up my case. Stated that there is no RFE she can see and the officer still hasn't made a decision. Also said she was aware that we are traveling April 24 out of the US. Told us to wait and nothing new. What to do ???

Any ideas?? Case still says RFE requested online and my USCIS account.

No idea, but if I have to guess, you don’t have an RFE and the system is having a glitch. However, the only thing I would have done differently is while you were at the infopass, you should have made them put that “no RFE found” on paper, so you have that as evidence.

We filed AOS on 12/17 in indianapolis field office. Had immigration interview 3/15. Officer stated that they needed to keep reviewing the case and that our relationship is valid. Our case updated later that day and stated "additional RFE was mailed to you". Day 14, nothing. I did a case inquiry online March 25, and we got a notice in the mail today regarding my inquiry from the local field office. They stated that they sent an RFE on 3/15, and still have not heard back from you. I dont know what is going on. Also went to info pass appt 3/28 yesterday and the secretary told me there is no RFE and that the case is still in processing and the officer hasn't made a decision. She declined for us to speak to an officer . I am at a loss right now. I hired a lawyer who will send inquiry next week. I am so fed up!

Any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately I'm having a similar experience - Interview on 1/30, approved on 1/31, case reopened for reconsideration on 2/15 and no changes since. Tier 1's say my case is still pending and Tier 2's say we are still approved but its a card production issue. I just contacted my local senator for help and she has helped a fair bit (still no changes yet though). I'd recommend trying that route to get some answers. Seems like some cases are updating incorrectly....

I wonder why they reopened for reconsideration. I hired an attorney to help with this case now. We made an info pass 4/16.

IDK what's going on.
