So, my husband is a little desperate. This is the first year he can remember that he hasn't watched the Grand National horse race in April. We've contacted the local casinos, who have a racebook, and they don't show it. Someone told us Fox Sports Channel airs it, but we don't get the channel. We found that we can hear it on BBC radio online.... but have yet to find anywhere he can SEE it....

Just curious if anyone knows of a site that shows the race live....

Oh, and is this race REALLY a big deal across the pond, or is he just being difficult?!?

Thanks!

Happy

It's a big deal -- I love telling people I have picked the winner 3 times straight (and placed some tasty bets).

I don't know who's showing it (my guess is only Fox Sports), but I do know that if your husband still has a UK bandk account or credit car, he can still place a bet online (not that I know anything about that personally)

Try some of the UK tv channels. Grand National is five minutes from where I Live and we cant get out the house on the day of the race - that's how big a deal it is. They close the roads off for security reasons. It is the biggest steep chase event in the world. Last year I think they had 135 horses and I'm not a horsey person LOL

Whoohooo!! We're in luck!!

If you have Comcast, there is a channel called TVG - I'm sure it's on other cable systems as well...

They will, for the first time, be airing the Grand National live!!!!!

11:15 Eastern Time.
