601 waiver approval.. applying for jobs in the USA, background check

Just a quick question, for those who have a criminal record and received an I 601 approval.. Once you moved to the USA and applied for jobs, did your record from another Country follow you? If they do a criminal background check on you for the job does it show if the crime wasn't committed in the US and you have a waiver(not sure if it pardons the crime or not ) ?  Just not sure if I give out the information if they ask up front or if I am hurting myself by telling them if it is not job related if the check will not show the past crime .

The immigration waiver has nothing to do with jobs.

Some jobs require you to declare your criminal history some do not.

How far they dig depends on who they use and what checks they carry out, obviously do not lie.
