I have a serious question

OK I called DOS and they said that they are going to call Hasan to pick up his passport or mail it to him but the visa is not stamped and something was sent to Washington.

Then I got home yesterday and I recieved the CR1 package saying that he has an interview June 5th and all AP provessing is done all that he has to have is the medical exam and vaccinations. WHAT THE HE!! is really going on?????????????????????????I tried to call DOS right now again to see if I get a different answer then yesterday cos we ll know this happens on a regular basis but the wait time is 15 min right now. SO I will try again later.

My question is should he go to this interview and try and get the CR1 instead of K3. I wonder if they will let him interview?

WTH? I hope you get this sorted out ASAP. Typical that it would happen just as the weekend rolls around!

that sounds strange, i would try maybe emailing the embassy and see if you get an answer otherwise i would have him just go to the interview and have him bring everything that he took with him to the first interview at least he can be face to face with someone and sort this out. good luck with everything.

All originals that they wanted are in the file and the only thing that needs to be reviewed is the Medical Exam.

I am going to email the Embassy and try calling to see if I can get a straight answer from someone.

Where is the petition for the CR1? If it has been completed at the NVC, and sent to the consulate then it could be a valid interview for the CR1, which by the way is a much better visa to come on than the K-3. If it were me, and there were no issues with the first interview I think I would go for the CR1.

Just incase anyone reads this i wanted to say that he interviewded for the Cr1 with sucess and will be recieveing the passport back in 4 days, since they sent it back the first time with 9Back) writtien in it. They explained to him that since the CR1 came and they had an interview date that is what visa they will issuse as it is much better.
