You CAN but it will look contrived, compared to a transcript.  Have you SEEN an amended return?  When you do, you'll understand.

Okay.  I guess amending anything will not look good.

If your liquid, aka cash in the bank, are 10 times the poverty guidelines then just include bank statements showing the cash in there over a period of a year or so and forget the house.

Okay, I just worry that bank statements alone won't be enough for some CO.

Im in the same boat as this.. I also for 2017 taxes made 6k over the the 125% Federal poverty and was told only to supply 2017 tax forms.

I am thinking just supply one year of tax return also.  How's that working out for you?

You are worried unnecessarily.  Your liquid assets will carry the day.  You WILL get a worrisome notice from NVC saying your income is not sufficient but that a Consular Officer will make the decision.  People with multiple millions in liquid assets and low "income" get the same notice.  Don't worry about it.

If you do, make sure your wife has the other two with her at the interview in case they are asked for.  Get through your head that once a Consular Officer "asks" for something, it is then "required" in your case.  You're disclosing the income from all three tax returns.  Including three transcripts is not going to hurt anything.  You seem to want to include unnecessary things that won't help.  Seems silly to leave out things that will.

That's good to know.  But my liquid assets are not that high.

The previous two years of returns are not as "solid" as the recent one.

There are things like IRA distributions and one-time capital gains in the income, so I prefer not showing, in case they worry about my future income.

Have you looked at the form?  You are still going to provide the number from line 22.  With ten times the income requirement in liquid assets, they are NOT going to worry about your future income. Sheessh

I hope so.  Form I-864 seems to be much more income based than asset based.

Why are you arguing with me?  The Consular Officer will consider the totality of circumstance you present.  Stop worrying and get it done.  You qualify easily.
