I have my N400 interview next month. My US born spouse is US citizen by birth in USA.

on the letter of my N400 one of the requirements is to bring original birth certificate of

your US born spouse based on which I have applied for citizenship after 3 years rule.

while I have affixed photocopy of her birth certificate We have probably misplaced the

original  certificate. While we have applied for an additional original copy from authorities

but  it will take minimum 6 weeks before we get it.

what is the probability that I will be asked for original birth certificate of my spouse and

If I am not able to produce that what could be outcome.

please give your valuable advice as I am very worried about it.

Did they give any other option like Passport.  Passport is good enough proof of US citizen.    They might like to see the birth certificate of the foreign spouse ( N-400 candidate)
