Since i did not get the NOA1 today, i was bummed and decided to call them. Was told that it was mailed. I told them i did not get it. Was then told to wait 45 days. I explained that i need the NOA to file the I-129F and asked if i can use a copy of the check, case # and the printout from the site as evidence of filing an I-130. she checked with a supervisor and the answer was no. need to wait for the NOA.

are you sure that this is going to work with mailing it early

Oh that's crazy! Waiting for 45 days when you know they've cashed your check, you're in the system and they even told you on the phone that they mailed it? It makes no sense to force you delay your I-129F for over a month just because that one piece of paper might have been lost in the mail. Especially since you live so close to where it was mailed from - it's not like you are in Tasmania or someplace where the mail might be really slow.

I just wanted to rant on your behalf - How frustrating for you! :ranting:

Case number is stamped on the back (along with some other numbers).. look for a number with 3 letters in the back (three letters depending on which office you sent the application into).. Look for a combo letter/number about 12 =) then just go to the USCIS Case Status page and check it =)

It's been over ten days since I mailed out the I-130 application, still no NOA1. Does it make sense to call and find out what is the status or should I just wait?:angry::crying::crying:

Nope :crying: you have to wait about 2 more weeks (from my estimate, and others)... as you can see from my profile , I sent in the I-130 on 4/13 (Friday), so the time start for them should be 4/16.. it got entered into the system on 4/27, and I received the NOA1 on 5/29... so go figure... they aren't really good at getting the NOA1s out.. Also, there seemed to be a time gap between April and June.. they were processing the worker visas more from what I hear..

Me too after a disastrous experience with my 129f, my package went in the mail last night and should arrive in California Friday.. Good lord... if I make it that far.. THIS IS SO STRESSFUL.

I had gotten a 129f denial with a waiver request and was sure that it was a BIG NO for my case. So I got married in Tunisia.. only to come home to an approved 129f. So then, I had to hire an attorney and RESUBIT THE ENTIRE PACKAGE and then withdraw the other one ( MORE TIME) Needless to say this has placed a HORRIFIC amount of strain on my marriage and my life. I just want things to chug along but at least I know now that the attorney FINALLY put it in the mail and its on its way to the service center. I wonder if anyone else is struggling with the sadness and the distance and the pain of all this long drawn out process?

Hi dgv76,

Congratulations on your approval... :) :)

Just wanted to make sure what I read and understood is correct: This is your I-130 NOA2 Correct? The reason I am asking this is because I think my I-130 was sent just a week or so after yours. Not that I am expecting my NOA2 anytime soon(altho it 'd be great) but I am just surprised yet REALLY REALLY happy for you, if u did get your I-130 NOA2. Can you please tell me which service center you mailed your I-130 to so that I can do some more tracking.

Thanks for your time and help.

Hey djv76,

You can ignore my question about which service center u mailed your I-130 applicaiton to. I see that your home state is CT, which means u probably sent your I-130 to VSC and that may explain your early NOA2 for your I-130. But please feel free to share anything that you may think help the rest of us.

Thanks again.
