When I sent my email to the consulate I had a reply and an interview date within 3 days. Do you know what the lawyer sent them? What is the status of your case, has it arrived at the consulate and ‘ready’ on ceac?

Hey again!

I was just wondering how long it took to hear from the consulate once it left the NVC?

Does the first contact they make give you you're interview day / time?

Cheers :)

From memory it took about 2 weeks. But this was over Christmas etc. they email the US petitioner to inform you of them receiving it and give you instructions (pay MRV fee and fill out DS 160). You (fiancé) email them back with receipt of payment and DS-160 confirmation page. When they respond to that email then you will get the interview date :)

Thanks so much!

Sorry for another question.

Roughly how how long did it take you to hear from them once you sent back the payment reciept and DS160 confirmation page? And then how far out was your interview from then?

Were just trying to get to get a just of the timeline to see if there is any hope of being i the States before my fiancé Deploys overseas again.

Thanks :)

It’s okay! I heard back within a day. I think within 3 days is pretty average.

I heard back esrly January and was given a February date. I may have been able to ask for a January date but Feb suited us fine. Hope this helps!

Hi, we're in the same boat, waiting for a response from the consulate on the interview date, we've been following timelines of those close to us and those couples have gotten responses within 1 - 2 days.

We're onto our 4th business day after emailing back packet 3. Might be a little paranoid but if we don't get a response, what would be the best way to go about finding out what's going on?

I would say possibly contact them again, but it looks like you got your interview date! Congratulations.
