Filling for AOS without 2018 taxes filled

I’m about to file for AOS. My husband has not received his W2s from his employers yet. So we don’t have 2018 taxes filed. Which is fine, it will be a couple of more weeks for us to get them done, since we get a professional to get them done because he runs a business. My question is: can we file AOS with proof of income with his 2017 tax return (nothing income wise has really changed) instead of this years? The instructions for I-864 says the most recent tax year and we just wanted to be safe.

Yes. They understand that most people haven't filed 2018 taxes yet since the deadline is in April. For your AOS interview you can take an updated I-864 packet, just in case.

They won't ask for the 2018 return until after tax day.

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

K-1:

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
