Beneficiary employment history

Me (US) and my fiancé (CA) are just about ready to begin the k1 visa process. I’m the sponsor in the US and meet all of the financial requirements. My fiancé is currently unemployed and his work history has primarily been jobs paid under the table. Will any of this impact our chances at getting a visa? Would we just list that he’s been unemployed on jobs that he doesn’t have any tax records?

well, at the interview, they'll ask him what he does and what he plans on doing in the US

Thanks for your reply. I’m hoping he’ll find a new job soon, but it may not be before we submit the application. He’s not sure what he’ll do in the US yet, but we probably need to start thinking about that.

is not going to impact your chances of getting the visa  since the USC is the sponsor .

USCIS will want to make sure he doesn't become a public charge. Even though it's marriage-based immigration, ability to talk about your future confidently helps.
