Who knows what it means. My understanding is we're in a black hole with no determined date of release. I met my fiance in Manila on her for her interview on Nov 27 th 2018 we have been together 3.5 years and I have visited her from the US 5 times. At the interview there was no request for additional paperwork yet we went into the black hole of time. Our next update was Jan 3, 2019 and yesterday was 60 days since the administrative review started and still no contact with us. I can email on Monday but they will not tell you anything. I have heard that the update is either they have looked again at any documentation they have requested and then updated but still have not completed the investigation or they have reviewed your case but there wasn't anything fed back to them from other sources that would determine if you're okay for a visa. If they open the file and immediately close it, it's an update. I don't mean to sound so negative but there is nothing that you can do at this point but wait for the call. The Good news is that you and i are still the game and was denied at the interview. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Hi, When you go on the CEAC site what does it say? Immigrant or Non immigrant AP on the pop up message? Have you tried calling the Immigrant Visa section at the embassy? I can scrounge up the number if you need it. I would be losing my mind if I were you...

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

Hello everyone.  Seems like we are all on the same boat but my mother's AP was just issued on February 25.  She was given the 221g because apparently, her medical records from St. Luke's Extension Clinic, is not on file at the US Embassy.

This surprised us a lot as we made sure to schedule the interview 2 weeks after she completed her medical examination to make sure that the clinic will have ample time to submit documents to USEM.  My mother was advised by the consular officer to obtain new medical records from St. Luke's and send this together with her passport for her visa to be granted.

What is bothersome to find out is that St. Luke's has submitted her records on Feb. 8, a day after her medical exams.  Now, we do not know if this record was misplaced, buried somewhere or was accidentally filed under  another applicant.  St. Luke's refuses to provide a new medical record as they have given everything to USEM.  Now, it's a wait and see game for us. We have emailed and called to register our concern but no assurance was given as to when USEM will respond to our situation.

I hope it all works well for all of us.
