My K1 Venezuelan fiancee had her interview in Bogota today.  At the conclusion, she was told "I'm sorry but I can't tell you whether you are approved or not.  You package is very good and complete and I need no further information.  You will receive an email in a few days with further instructions".  They kept her passport.  30 minutes after she left, the CO who interviewed her called on her cell and asked her to return to the Consulate.  She was fingerprinted and asked to pledge that everything  she stated was was truth.  That's it.  There was really no clues as to what they wanted or why she wasn't approved on the spot as others from her whatsapp group were today.  My fiancee did say the CO asked about my divorces.  My 2nd divorce was final in July 2018 and I filed our K1 app in august 2018.  My previous marriage was a K1 (Canada) which lasted 7 years and my ex has returned to Canada.  Not sure why that would even be an issue?

In summary, we are nervous and scared.  Can't even begin to guess at what the red flag was?  I consulted a lawyer before I even filed to see if there would be issues because of the previous K1 and he assured me there would not be.

The CO only looked at my I129F package and didn't even ask to see the package of proof of ongoing relationship.  We had plenty!!!!

Don't know why I'm posting this, but there are some really smart and compassionate people on VJ, so perhaps one of you would be so kind as to offer your thoughts?
