Travelling from India to USA via Paris CDG airport with EAD/AP combo card

Hi,

With current AOS pending and being an Indian citizen, can we travel from India to USA through Paris CDG airport with a EAD/AP combo card? I am reading several forums where European countries will not accept EAD/AP combo card as a valid re-entry document to the US, but rather require a valid US visa. Is this true? If it is not possible to travel to the US with the combo card through Paris, what other airline options do we have? Has anyone made any international travel recently using the combo card? Kindly share your experiences and suggestions. Thanks.

I doubt it is specific countries but just incompetent airline check-in staff. If the check-in staff does not allow, then first ask for a supervisor. If that fails, then ask them to use the CBP hotline (they should have the number). Airlines that go the Irish airports might be more knowledgeable: https://www.cbp.gov/border-security/ports-entry/operations/preclearance Also, in that case CBP is located in Ireland.
