Maybe u r right...

i think now that I might have forgotten to sign the check. Is there a way to know. Will they return the packet to me for sure? If yes, how long.

Yes, they will. When I sent in my application missing one essential thing for another application, they returned the entire packet. It was about 3 weeks after I had mailed it in...

thanks for your quick response. its a little relief to know that at least i will get to know if something is wrong rather than just wondering for a long time.

Yes; that's the Dallas USCIS lockbox, which is the correct place for K-1s. It's just frequently called the Texas Service Center by K-1 petitioners and beneficiaries, but is not.

I am sorry to bother you, but could you please tell me how to check the status for the application online on USCIS website, as you mentioned its not the Texas Service Center.

What option do I need to select from the Field Office or Service Center for I-129F application.

p.s: i have applied for fiance visa

You need your receipt number. Without it you won't be able to check the status of your petition.

I apologize that is not what I meant.

I meant to ask about how to check the processing time for the application on USCIS website on based of my type of application and where the application was sent.
