Residential Address Question

Hello everyone, 

 

I'm a British Citizen and getting my K1 case transfered to the London embassy.

I wanted to know if the hospital or embassy require a proof of residential address in the UK? (see my name on the property or a bill?).

I'll be staying with family but it won't be my "actual address" and worried it might cause problems.

I can answer this question from personal experience.

 

I changed my embassy from Montreal to London. As you're a British Citizen you only need to show proof of citizenship, so a copy of your passport will suffice. In terms of address, after I left Canada, I was helping my husband move house in the US for a few weeks, so I transferred my permanent/physical address to my parents address in the UK to avoid complicating matters with the embassy/medical.

I have a British Passport but I live and travelled to Asia for a while.
