Got my Green Care after 3 months of becoming 26. Do I need to sign up for selective service?

I also received my GC after turning 26, but was 25 when I submitted the AOS paperwork.  I don't believe that there is a way to register if you are older than 26, but I did receive a letter regarding the selective service a month or so after receiving the GC.  I forget what it actually said, but I believe it met the obligation.  If I remember correctly there is some information transferred between USCIS and Selective Service that deals with this when they approve you.

I'll see if I can find the letter and remember what actually happened tonight

Thank you for your reply. I'd appreciate if you could share it. It's been almost a month and I haven't received anything from Selective Service.
