Oath Ceremony Descheduled - Chicago

Today December 1st, got a I-797C notice from USCIS that they have descheduled my Oath Ceremony on Thursday December 20, 2108 at Chicago.

 

"This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled Oath Ceremony On Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 12:00 PM for the above applicant. We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice."

 

Is there anyone in the same boat? Anyone knows what happened?

 

It sucks that today is Saturday. Even cannot call 800 number.

Sorry that this happened to you.  That really sucks!   I feel outraged about it so I can only imagine how you feel!

Ugh, how upsetting. Did you get any other news?

Haven't heard back anything from Chicago Field Office. Wanted to make an INFOPASS, and found that they don't accept appointment for 2 weeks. It seems that Chicago Field Office has something going on now. Don't know if it is related to my descheduled oath ceremony, even mine was actually at Northern Illinois Federal Court, which is about 1 mile away from the Field Office.

Any updates on your case? I also had the Oath in feb and was cancelled as well.

My oath was re-scheduled to Feb 8th. I have taken my oath and received my passport today.
