I have been requested by relative who is just moved to Philippines from USA to send a BB box with only dried Pinto Beans.

It going to weigh about 100lbs and be only dried pinto beans and large plastic  container to keep the ants out while stored in his house.

Do you guys think it will get confiscated? Or will it be delivered to his place in Davao City?

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Wow, are dried pinto beans so expensive there that it's worth to cost to ship a BB Box full?

I can't imagine it being confiscated as I've sent food stuffs several times without incident unless such a quantity might get them suspecting you're importing them for sale.

He don't like Philippines food.  He has been there 3 months, I suspect he can't find them.

We figured put only beans just in case it gets confiscated.

Just can't find them, he has looked on some ex pat forums and it seems as if finding dried beans is impossible. I told him to go S&R Wholesale in Davao and see if the can import him a pallet.

He found some can pinto beans on lazada and there were $5 per can, which would be about $1 here in the USA.

I think you could easily get 200 lbs of pinto beans in a BB. But I don't see why it would get confiscated.

I am going on a Pinto Bean round up after Turkey Season is over with.

I gonna feel sorry for the old Filipino dude who gets our boxes, He  old.....

I shop for my brothers Mexican restaurant sometimes on Saturdays to help him out and I pick up 50 lb bags pinto beans at Costco. Mentally picturing it I was thinking that you could fit 4 of those in a BB.
