Hello,

I moved here when I was 8years old in 2000 and my Philippine Passport was never renewed ever since. I was wondering what the process would be like renewing my Philippine Passport now but my issue is that I was married and changed my last name and also went through a divorce after being married for 3 years but I still have my ex husband’s name.

Thank you for any help.

Well the first thing you need to do if you want to renew your passport in your married name is do a Recognition Of Marriage(ROM) at the Philippine Consulate/Embassy where you got married. If you just want to renew your passport then you go to the Consulate/Embassy closest to you to get it renewed.

Will I be able to travel with just renewing my passport without my married name?

Yes, you will be able to travel with just renewing your passport. You will have to carry your green card with you.
