I agree, if your wife does not speak English, don't check the box that says she does and then fill out the interpreters section with your own information.  As to the preparer section, that is up to you.  I did most of the work on our AOS, ROC, and N400 as to filling out the forms and organizing the package and I did not sign the forms as the preparer.  As to the interview, luckily my wife speaks very good English (but don't ask her as she thinks she does not), but there were a few questions I needed to clarify for her and the IO said that was OK.

I see. I think the safe thing to do would be for me to sign as the preparer, as well. I am not a professional service like people mentioned on here but, I still feel like I should sign as the preparer. Since she doesn't speak English, I don't think she can prepare the Adjustment of Status package herself. :D
