Hello VJ friends,

I'm filling out my I-864 (I am the petitioner) and I have a question. I am probably overthinking this and the answer is likely simple but because I am not working we have a joint sponsor...

On the form in Part 1. Basis for filling application i have to select that I am the petitioner of course. But what does my joint sponsor select on his I-864. Am I the 1st joint sponsor so he chooses "2nd of two joint sponsors"  or is he the only joint sponsor.

The I-864 instructions didn't make it clear enough for me and i don't want to make a mistake.

Choose the answer that most closely describes the situation.  Since in a spouse case, only one joint sponsor is allowed, they are the "only" joint sponsor.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
