Best health insurance for a few months

Hi Folks! I know there are a bunch of threads on this out there, but just wondering whether any of you have recent experience with buying health insurance to cover the time before getting married? My fiancé is in the military so once we're married I will have insurance through him. I'm around 30 years old with no health problems. Thanks :)

I went with AIG traveling health insurance for a couple of weeks just to cover me until we were married. Military spouse here too, so I got Tricare immediately after. AIG is expensive but you can choose to pay per day so it’s not so much when it’s just a couple of weeks.

About Tricare, make sure you get your DEERS ID as soon as you get your marriage certificate back then call Tricare to sign up for either Tricare Prime or Select. Prime has a monthly fee but higher coverage but you need referrals. Select has no monthly fee but lower coverage but no referrals. Honestly I haven’t encountered a lot of fees with Select. And it’s easier to handle.
