If you have a case complete in August or September 2018 and are waiting for an IR1/CR1 visa interview date at Montreal, please gather here and leave a comment indicating your case complete date. It will give us all a better idea of what CC dates are getting interview dates and when can we expect an interview date for our cases.

I'll start:

CC Date: September 21, 2018

Also, please consider updating your timelines to reflect the most accurate information, that helps us all a lot! Good luck to all of us!

I know the people who have CC in august will get the November dates, but I'm really really hoping to get a Nov or early Dec interview date.  Fingers crossed.

So am I. Historically Montreal takes around 50 days from CC to interview. Right now they are taking 90 days. Even if they try to bring it back down to 70 days, a lot of us, including me will get an interview date in November. Let's hope they do.

That’s an interesting thought!  Could well be.  Based on this spreadsheet, seems like only 2-3 Canada CCs in August.

If you think about it, NVC slowed down after March due to system changes and issues almost no CC then they sped up issuing all the backlogged CCs in June-July. I think they slowed down on purpose in August, and that's why we do not see many CC from August. If this theory is correct, we can expect to see a lot of folks from August and September CC dates getting interviews in November. Fingers crossed!

I'm an August!

August 23 CC.

My guess is that we saw fewer August CC because the CEAC website was down for a couple of weeks in July I think. Maybe that means I'll actually get a November interview! Since only like two weeks of CC got an interview in October I have been a little afraid.

Does anyone know, based on research from this site, when interviews are usually scheduled for Montreal?  I know the past two months have been almost mid-month (I think last month was Sept 13th? ) . and that everyone seemed to get emails on the same date.  Just wondering if this is typical ?

There are 9 people for the month of August that have a listed case closed. September doesn’t have many either. Of course there are several others that don’t update or follow visa journey, but there were more than that listed for the second half of July. I agree that the system being down for 10 days should hopefully speed things up a touch. Fingers crossed!
